This game was very refreshing to play...so different and unique from the norm. If you like The Twilight Zone, even marginally, you are in for a pleasant surprise. Really hope the developer keeps making more episodes because I would love to keep coming back to this over and over...

I thought this was a great little gem of a game. I loved the style, the story line and graphics and It made a refreshing change to play this game.
Keep up the great work and I look forward to the next installment if you have one in the pipeline.
I loved this game, super creepy and decent puzzles. Can't wait to play the other games in the series!
Отличная игра! Требую продолжения!
Awesome ambience and art. I really enjoy this episode, feeling inside a Twilight Zone show, really great.
I missed some idle animation on Claire, maybe showing she's apprehensive
Hi! ^_^ Just wanted to let you know that I really liked the game. Aw, how I like small little horror pixelated games. I don't know they're just so cozy and the whole atmosphere is wonderful. And the music was also lovely :) I pretty liked the story that was shown to us in 1st episode. Actually I found out that it's "first" part only after playing, but that's typical of me xD The storytelling was pretty creepy and after playing it I have SO MANY QUESTION and weird THEORIES xD Like is Scarescow a villain here?!! Cause it was at the back of old photos and at kid's picture. Also what the hell happened at that place? Where's the MOTHER? And most of all who the hell was that weird kid that scientists observed and tested in their lab? And what a coincidence that all those scientist are now dead...MUAHAHA xD Aaaanyway xD I'm really looking forward to new episodes, cause it's so cool :) I don't know would you make a continuation of this story or just bunch of different connected somehow (like spooky stories at the campfire kind of thing, or it so reminds me about it ^_^) stories, but I know I'll like it anyway :) So I wish you luck, hope your inspiration won't ever leave you and well... thanks for making this game ^_^ Bye :)
Thank you so much for playing and for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it and that you have so many questions. The only thing I can tell you is that all the answers are in the game... :)
Gave it a go...
hi, big big thx for this great game. it's so scary and disturbing, i love it. greetings from germany
Great little point and click game! Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you for playing!! <3<3
Haha! That's funny, I just watched an episode of (1959) Twilight Zone last night and today I go on Itch.io and discover this. Well, I guess that's a sign that I must play this game.
You should! :D
I sure did and I really enjoyed it. Like holy shit, I felt like I was playing an episode of The Twilight Zone. You should do more of these, like maybe do ones with characters and dialogue or something. I dunno, but if you make more of these, I'm down to play em. :)
This game looks really nice and the ambiance is fantastic :D.
I also made a video i hope you enjoy.
Great and spooky game! I can not wait to play more of these games!
I really enjoyed this! Very eerie and fun. I'll be tuning in to the next episode ;)
Great stuff, you definitely achieved that classic Twilight Zone ambience and atmosphere. I also got major Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark vibes from that scarecrow, hah. Neat art and music, all round very polished, nice job. Definitely looking forward to seeing future entries into the series!
excellent game really enjoyed this here is my playthrough got it without a walk through
Loved it. Very much looking forward to the next 2 as well.
Loved it...look forward to future episodes
The design of this game really works well, and it pulled me in further and further as the game went on. My only critique is it ended fairly abruptly, BUT, that is exactly how I remember The Twilight Zone ending. I think this would work really well, with more episodes, each one just as intriguing and odd, I really like it, great work!
Not a big fan of black and, white but it sets the mood good! Great story lots of suspense! I have been pondering a couple things though haha! Like if she had a spare in the trunk and, could just turn around. Why would she go through a house with tons of blood on the floor? Just crazy thoughts pondering after playing this! Can't wait to see what happens to her next!
Yeah, it's better not to overthink it too much xDxD I hope you enjoyed the experience overall! :)
Short, but very fun! You really captured the Twilight Zone feel.
Very good game! I like the mix of the grayscale art and the terror feeling. The Claire's animations are cool too! I'll be waiting for the next episode! Keep going!
YOU CAN NOT UNSEE THIS ! | Midnight Scenes: The Highway Full Gameplay Walkthrough
xDxD I loved your video! It was hilarious xD And I love the thumbnail too!! Thank you for playing!! :) <3
Nice atmosphere. Easy gameplay, Great story. Can't wait for the next episode.
One gripe... Just needed to be a little bit longer... Keep up the good work. :)
Yes, I wish it was a bit longer too, but being my first game I had to keep it very small so I didn't burn myself! Thank you for playing and for the great video!! :)
This game was great! The artstyle, music and ambience, everything was great imo.
Keep it up i'm waiting for more parts of it ( hope it's not gonna be "only" 3 episodes )
This was great! Very reminiscent of the old LucasArts point and click adventure games, only with that creepy Twilight Zone feel. There's going to be more of these right? Please? :)
Thank you so much for playing navarsai!! I really enjoyed your video and I LOOOVEEEE that thumbnail! It's so Twilight Zone!! :D
YOU WON'T EVER BELIEVE ME, BUT IT WAS THE HORSE!
There are going to be more episodes, indeed! Thank you so much for playing and for the great video!! :)
Well it was nice but short, we want more ))) next episode please
Thanks for playing Burning13! It's very short but I hope you enjoyed it! This is my first short game so I wanted to keep it very small. Stay tuned for Episode 2, which will be a bit meatier :)
That was a pretty interesting ride I liked this game a lot, I look forward to see any more you are making. If I see this on the gamejolt website I will support it there too. 5/5.
This was great! I am really interested in seeing the rest of the series. Did I understand correctly that the series is "Midnight Scenes" and "The Highway" is this specific one?
I really loved that you handled trying to do things incorrectly. Usually these games just give you a generic message ("you can't use that here" etc) but having the character try it anyway is just cool plus it lets you know you might have the right idea.
I made a video!
Thank you for playing and for this great video Rob! :) Yes, this is the first episode in the Midnight Scenes series. Stay tuned for episode 2! :)
this game was amazing I hope you will make more games like this subscribe for more game :https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC87ACz99Buum0tospPSQSbA

"This was amazing. best game ever. please make more" - My girlfriend Bonnie Trent
Very good game. The atmosphere is quite right and the puzzles well designed. The graphics are, as always, fantastic. Looking forward for the next one.
Hiya, I was quite excited to try the game after reading through the description and I can safely say that it was excellent. I loved the black and white style along with the pixel graphics, the music was great as well with the game as a whole screaming, "Twilight Zone".
Overall it was an awesome adventure, short and sweet. You mentioned in the description that this is the first in a series of games? If that's the case then I can't wait to play the next one!
Also, I hope you don't mind but I recorded a short let's play of the game.
Cheers and best wishes to you!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it :)
I loved your video, it was excellent! It's so nice and weird watching other people playing the game :D
Great looking game. can't wait to see more
Hi dear dev, you did a nice job :)
